YOU PICK FLOWERS
You-Pick Flowers are very rewarding!
Our season typically runs from mid-April to mid-October.
Pick a cup size and we’ll provide a pair of snips. Then you’ll cut as many stems as you would like as long as it fits into the cup. Check out this video for tips and tricks.
No need to bring anything—just wear farm shoes and bring sunscreen.
You’ll also see bees and other pollinators working the blooms. They’re much more interested in the flowers than the people picking them.

HARVESTING TIPS
1. Try to cut the stem as long as possible and right above a pair of leaves or a node.
2. Strip the leaves off the stem that will be in the water. This can be done when you get home or in the field. (The leaves in the water will cause bacteria and significantly decrease vase life.)
3. Enjoy yourself and the flowers!

We offer different types of workshops and tours to get a more in depth understanding of flowers and the Ivy Place!
Flower Workshop (90 min): Cut and arrange a take-home bouquet. $35/person. Min 10, max 35.
Garden Tour + Flower Workshop (90 min): Guided garden walk plus bouquet workshop. $45/person. Min 10, max 35.
Gardens + Grounds Tour (45–60 min): History, gardens, photo spots. $10/person. Year-round. Min 10, max 50.

We do not use herbicides or pesticides, but utilize mulch to control weeds, build soil structure, and retain moisture, and pollinators and “good” insects!
